Haoyang Zeng from Telecom Paris represented SHIFT during this year’s IEEE NEWCAS conference 2026 in Chicoutimi, Canada.
Haoyang presented his work on co-integration of Digital Pre-Distortion and Delta Sigma ADC modulator design.
This work is entitled "Frequency Weighted NTF Synthesis for Cost-Efficient Sigma Delta Based DPD Feedback Loops". It presents a frequency weighted noise shaping strategy to overcome this bottleneck. Validated under a 400 MHz carrier aggregation scenario, the proposed synthesis concentrates noise suppression resources specifically within the critical main signal band. Numerical simulations demonstrate first and second adjacent channel leakage ratio improvements of 3.2 dB and 2.6 dB, respectively. These gains enable a 1-bit quantizer implementation to approach the system linearity of a 3-bit resolution reference, offering a resource-efficient solution for wideband linearization by minimising hardware complexity.
