Antonio Aprile from the University of Pavia represented the SHIFT project at the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS 2026), held in Shanghai, China.
During the conference, Antonio presented his latest research on a high-speed digital-to-analog converter (DAC), focusing on the optimization of its noise performance and sharing experimental validation results. The work was presented under the title: “A 10-bit 6.4-GS/s Current Steering DAC with -163.7 dBm/Hz Noise Spectral Density for DPD-Based D-Band Backhaul Transmitters.”
The presented DAC is a key building block of a D-band transceiver currently under development within the SHIFT project. The transceiver targets next-generation wireless backhaul links and is being implemented using STMicroelectronics’ advanced 55-nm BiCMOS technology.
Participation in ISCAS 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to disseminate SHIFT’s latest achievements, engage with the international research community, and exchange ideas with experts in integrated circuits and communication systems.
