Alessandro Fonte and SIAE MICROELETTRONICA presented the SHIFT project at the RESTART Plenary Dissemination Workshop in Catania.
The research and development program RESTART, “RESearch and innovation on future Telecommunications systems and networks, to make Italy more smart”, invited the national community involved in Telecommunications (academia, research institutions, industries in the sector and users) to the Plenary Dissemination Workshop “How will the future look like?” to be held in Catania, Italy, on July 4th-5th.
About 250 participants attended the packed program of activities, organised to coincide with the "midterm," to take stock of the situation at the halfway point.
11 sessions, each opened by keynote speeches and concluded by interesting talks, provided an overview of what the 32 RESTART projects are achieving. The overview shows a research trend that remains "on track" and a program that continues to grow, also in partners involvement. The workshop was also an opportunity to bring together representatives of some of the companies and operators active on the Italian territory and part of the RESTART program, with the aim of discussing together the future of communication technologies and network architecture.
The event was a great opportunity to share the results achieved so far and define together further activities.
